THE PROBLEM

The City of Portland, Oregon, needed a solution to manage wastewater odor in its bustling downtown park, which hosts events year-round. Odor control was a top priority, but the project was made more challenging by the system’s location – directly beneath the park and accessible only through a small hatch – creating significant installation obstacles. Previously installed systems had failed to trap odors, leading the City of Portland to enlist PureAir to undertake their unique odor control needs. This project presented a unique challenge due to the system’s location and the need for extensive customization.
