THE PROBLEM
New Belgium Brewery, known most famously for Fat Tire Belgian Ale, began brewing craft beer in Fort Collins, Colorado in 1991. In 2016, a secondary location was opened in Asheville, North Carolina and began receiving complaints from plant workers and neighbors of smells from plant operation. The fermentation process of brewing beer produces extremely odorous airstreams, and as the brewery has continued to grow, the problem
naturally has grown as well. New Belgium looked to industry leaders to assist in providing a reliable and long-term solution for removing the odorous by-products.
