[Case Study] CALIFORNIA, Dairy Biogas Plant

Written by Randie Shingleton | Mar 2, 2026 2:02:05 PM

THE PROBLEM

A dairy biogas facility in California was undergoing needed upgrades and expansions. Biogas is produced through the anaerobic fermentation of organic matter, typically derived from bovine waste. The facility serves an essential function by decomposing organic materials and generating renewable energy for the surrounding community. During this process, emissions primarily consist of methane, hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), and carbon dioxide, which contribute to odor issues and greenhouse gas impacts
